Here are some new pictures from the studio.

Spring Painting

All the same design and everyone different. Different is good and these were good.
Joy, Alice, Barbara, Jean, Betsey, Yukari, and Lois.

Tom finished his original painting of his home and barn. Great job Tom.

And Emiko painted a wonderful watercolor pear design. A beautiful painter.

And Barb and Yukino are busy painting.

Tom Preddy's fall scene was painted on Tue mornings. Tom gets his inspirations from scenes around his home.

We've enjoyed playing with watercolors and learning about them. Here is Janet Ferrell's painting from our experimental class. The paintings turned out wonderful.

Our Wed morning class painted this outstanding Cheri Ros still life design and as you can see the paintings were amazing. Here is Jean Soehnlein, Lois Arnold, Verna Foster, Dianne Wooldridge, Yukari Takahashi, and Joy Moore.

Painting at the Cafe

We have a terrific group of painters in Cary that meet at Chatham Street Cafe on Tue evenings. Gayla Bonke, the cafe owner and excellent chef, is a strong supporter of the arts and you will find exciting rotating art work on her walls. Right now some of the art is by our Cary painters, Liz, and photography by Liz's husband Rick Ward. Come visit us and especially go eat some of Gayla's delicious creations.

Students Endeavors

Our students have been busy painting at Artful Endeavors and creating some beautiful artwork for themselves and friends.

Barbara Pegliary created this wonderful basket of tulips on her own while watching a young energetic son.


In our Tue morning class Sylvia Brown has completed this beautiful snow scene complete with low sun shadows.

Our Wed morning class created this peaceful woodland walk in a tree study. Here we have Joy Moore, Alice Overton, Barbara LiGay, Jean Soehnlein, Betsey Pedneau, Yukari Takahashi, and Lois Arnold.

NC State Fair 2009

We had a great showing of our painter's art at the state fair this year. We got as many photos as possible.

Stone Arch Original

Liz painted a scene seen through a stone arch and each student painted their own scene through the arch. So much fun to see them develope!

Cooking up a Painting

Jean Soehnlein has cooked up a wonderful painting taken from the cover of a cook book. This panting was given as a gift at an Eastern Star meeting.

Our evening class has just finished the Winter Quiet, a Dorothy Dent design originally painted in oils. We had such a great time painting this design in acrylics, our style. And each of the paintings turned out so good.
