Our evening class has just finished the Winter Quiet, a Dorothy Dent design originally painted in oils. We had such a great time painting this design in acrylics, our style. And each of the paintings turned out so good.

Art in 2009

We're painting in 2009 at Artful Endeavors and have resumed our art with great enthusiasm. Amoung other types of paintings we've had lots of interest in watercolor batik. Here are a couple of our designs.

Sea Turtle Batik design by Kathie George. Dina Jacobs, Carol Burns, and Mary Greene with their finished creations.

Ruth Bean, Rose Edgerton a first time painter, Frances Bennett, and Betty LeMay were some the first to paint this design by our own Liz Miller, the Butterfly Batik.

Here we have Betty LeMay ironing her batik, yes that's right, ironing, while Dianne Seiber and Betsy Pedneau wait their turn at the iron.

I Love My Job!

I am so fortunate to be able to work at something I enjoy so much. Especially when I have such wonderful students that paint with me regularly. Over the years I have had the opportunity to meet such delightful people through decorative painting. People who share my love of painting.

North Carolina State Fair '08 DP Exhibit
